CALL FOR PAPERS: PRESENTATIONS
FMHAC invites you to present at our 46th Annual Conference - March 31 - April 2, 2021 About the Conference For 45 years the Annual Conference of the Forensic Mental Health Association of California is held each March in Monterey. For our 46th Annual Conference, we plan to meet at the Marriott Marquis in San Diego, CA. It offers high quality presentations pertaining to forensic mental health and relevant to medical and mental health clinicians, law enforcement, the courts, parole and probation officers, and other professionals working with mentally ill offenders. NOTE: Because of the evolving COVID-19 situation within the country and the many unknowns surrounding large gatherings, there is a possibility to transition the face-to-face Annual Conference to online formats with the understanding that there may be logistical inconveniences that may arise as a result, and so we thank you in advance for your patience. We are actively continuing to monitor guidance from the CDC and other state agencies so we can plan accordingly. Deadline Presentation Proposals: Deadline - September 15, 2020 What We Look for in Proposals We are seeking proposals that address adult and juvenile mental health, legal, clinical, sex offender, and psychiatric issues as they relate to changes in forensic mental health, evidenced-based and best practices, innovative programs with statistical support, and other relevant topics in the field. Presentations addressing current issues, research, treatment and assessment in forensic mental health are also welcome.
